Speed Kings

As most of those closer to me have found out, paintball is quickly becoming a bigger part of my life. After the recent gear acquisition trip to KL not too long ago, a bunch of us were discussing about forming a team to compete in the local tournament. Haz and Suwandi have since gone through Basic Tournament Orientation which is conducted by Red Dynasty Paintball Park, a course that anyone who wants to play speedball locally without a centre line is required by law to take. Neil seems to be following up closely with his BTO coming up on the 23rd of August.

Anyway, on the 25th of July, Red Dynasty hosted a mini-challenge as a small replacement for the third leg of SPNS, which sadly had to be cancelled due to lack of participation. It was great to see so many players in RD again, with lots of local teams taking part in the action. The initial plan was to form a team under the monicker of Pain Inc, but unexpectedly, our teammate Ian showed up late, and there weren't as many free agents as we would have liked. I ended up guesting for the Contract Killers, and Haz for the Evil Avengers.

Amid the reffing that could have seen some improvement, and some minor hiccups here and there, I think all in all it was a good day of speedball. Made lots of new friends, learnt a couple of things from the veterans, and also got a couple of new marks on the body. If only every weekend at RD was like this, things would be a whole more enjoyable. Pics coming right up!
